A few months ago I learned that according to Human Design, I’m a Reflector.
Note: I don’t like to place emphasis on labels because I believe that everyone is connected to Source, and therefore everyone ultimately has access to energy that is beyond form (psychic or physical), but that labels can sometimes be helpful as a tool for understanding and growth.
The reason I am sharing this is because this learning opened up a new level of understanding and acceptance of myself.
I learned that the ideal strategy for the Reflector is to wait one lunar cycle (or more) before making any decisions that would effect their life in any significant way.
Other human design ‘types’, of which there are 5 in total, are able to rely on their ‘defined centres’, for example their sacral centre, to make decisions.
Reflectors, on the other hand, have ‘undefined centres’, and therefore according to human design, cannot effectively rely on these ‘centres’ to gather the information they need to make important life decisions.
Instead, Reflectors are encouraged to tune into the feelings they cycle through as the moon waxes and wanes, and the inner knowing that reveals itself after these 28 days.
This information has been significant for me as I’ve often struggled to make instant decisions and have consequently judged myself for not being able to feel in my body what is right for me in the moment.
Now I know that according to human design, I’ve been built differently. My inner knowing tends to build over time, and the more I trust this, the more I can allow my inner guidance to reveal itself.
This has taken immense pressure off myself. There have been many times when I have criticized myself for “not knowing”. I have said to myself, "how can I not know this by now?”, when I’ve been searching for an answer.
Now I allow the answer to reveal itself over time.
Curious if you’ve explored human design and if it has helped you to understand and accept yourself more deeply.
